Welcome to Blessings...
Blessings by the Beach is a destination for play, rest, and rejuvenation. At Blessings, you have the best of both worlds. Situated on a Maple-lined street, Blessings is less than 30 seconds from Lake Michigan's beautiful sandy beach, which offers swimming, swings, almost endless walks on the beach, cliffs and dunes, a handicap accessible boardwalk, a fisherman's pier, a lighthouse and breath-taking sunsets. A couple of blocks the other direction and you are in town with restaurants, shops, biking, surreys, scooters, ice cream, coffee shops, a bakery, parks, antiques, and a movie theater.
Pippi Longstocking is the perpetual child-in-residence at Blessings, and she challenges you to live imperfectly with great delight! (Pippi thinks "perfect" is overrated...) She offers you a comfortable place to kick your shoes off and do something you haven't done in awhile. No need to bring a lot with you; we have beach towels, sand chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and floats.
We rent individual rooms year round. We provide a full breakfast, served at the time and location of your choosing. And don't miss out on Porch Time - wine, cheese and crackers at 5pm each day. Blessings is smoke-free. We have a very friendly small Labrador, Kia, who is affectionate and well behaved.
Frankfort, MI
Frankfort is a wonderful place to get away from it all and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. It is a place where there is no wrong way to do things, just the chance to be you for awhile. Given its unique location, you could arrive and never get back in the car since the beach, town, and bike paths are all very close. If you are the adventurous type, there are adventures waiting in every direction!
We are within 30 minutes of many lakes, rivers, towns, and resorts, including Crystal Lake, Glen Lake, Upper and Lower Herring Lake, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Arcadia Bluffs, Crystal Mountain, Glen Arbor, Leland, the Platte River and the Betsie River. So pick your pleasure - biking? boating? fishing? kayaking? tubing? skiing? golfing? hiking? wine tasting? antiquing? Blessings is the perfect place to begin and end each day's adventure.

Blessings
Our first trip to Michigan... unbelievable. I've traveled in Europe and here in Michigan, I saw a little bit of Italy and England. Through all my travels this might be the most beautiful area I have visited. Our host Candace, only added to the appeal of the area. We arrived right before sunset and she sent us to the beach equipped with beach chairs, white wine, and glasses. What a way to start our trip. The B & B is advertised as "not your mother's bed and breakfast". It's not. My wife and I have stayed at all of those and this one trumps all. The location cannot be beat and the accomadations are top notch. We will definitely return to this location... annually!!!!!Reviewed August 23, 2011
Wonderful Place!
This is really a bed and breakfast and is in a perfect location in Frankfort and managed by a very nice couple. It is a block (or less) to the beach and about two blocks from town and the marina. The beach there is beautiful. It is about a 40 minute drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes, with beautiful scenery along the way, including gorgeous Crystal Lake. The breakfast was excellent and she even had vanilla creamer for my coffee, which I usually carry with me but had forgotten. There is a beautiful wrap around porch and 2nd floor sundeck. This B & B was very clean, absolutely lovely and exceeded my expectations. Twenty minutes the other way is Arcadia, with an age-old lookout that I had forgotten about from my youth till I crested the hill and saw it - the views are fabulous. Arcadia also has an excellent (though pricey) golf course if you are a golfer. I was there alone because I was visiting family about 30 miles away, but I had a great time and would like to go back with my husband and my adult children.Room Tip:
I did not see the room in the back, but I believe it's the biggest. The king room upstairs is roomy and very nice, the queen room upstairs is smaller but adequate.Reviewed September 24, 2011
Best ever rest and relaxation!
This place is serene and warm, welcoming and joyful. Candace is a special person with a nurturing spirit. We plan to return every year. The beach is such a bonus, as is the Labrador in residence, Kia. This was a rare find in the B & B world in which we prefer to stay.Reviewed October 15, 2011
